ENTERTAINMENT
BANDS
You are responsible for all of your own equipment, sound tech, etc. Please be mindful of guests in the Tunnel of Love as your setting your levels. You don't want to be so loud that they won't be able to talk to vendors. It's definitely in your best interest to default to the judgment of the Production Manager when it comes to sound level. We know how to show you off and keep guests happy at the same time!
DJS
The setlist is really up to you. Have fun being yourself and not having to please the couple, their parents, their grandparents, their crazy uncles, or their overly intoxicated groomsmen. This is about showing who you are, how well you can read the crowd and your emceeing skills. Often, we'll have you play our ceremony music and provide microphones for the couple’s vows. Be sure you're clear on those needs.
CEREMONY MUSICIANS
You'll be responsible for all of your own sound needs. We'll have a DJ set up to mic our couple, so if you'd like to coordinate with them for mic needs, please let your Production Manager know and they’ll set you up with them. Ideally you will play as guests arrive (usually about 1/2 hour), then you'll play as the wedding party walks down the aisle. You can then also play a recessional piece after they are announced. You can choose which pieces you would like to play based on your style.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Your Production Manager will be filling you in on all details you need to know about announcements you may need to make. They will coordinate timing and logistics with you. Please be flexible, as we are in the event industry, and things often change last minute. Also, this event is a little different than a real wedding, so please trust our judgement when it comes to timing!! We often have to flex depending on amount of people in the Tunnel of Love and availability of photographers/videographers.
GOLDEN TICKETS
Couples will often ask if they can come see you in action. Since you can't really invite them to someone else's wedding, invite them to this instead! Our entertainment vendors often are the ones who really take advantage of the Golden Tickets, so please do! They're while supplies last, but use as many as you want...as long as they're engaged couples. Click here to download a Golden Ticket that you can email to your current and potential clients.
TUNNEL OF LOVE
If you opted to have a space in the Tunnel of Love, be sure to have someone that you trust be the face of your company while you play! They should be someone personable, excited about who you are, and knowledgeable about the services that you offer.
THE END
We love ending the evening with a dance party. We'll get all of the vendors out of the Tunnel of Love and it's a great time for dancing photos. If you want the Production Manager to choose that song, just let them know. We know some home runs for these events and are happy to share.
PARTY STARTERS
We love having a few key people there to start the party- so if you have close friends who you know could tear up the dance floor and get guests to dance, talk to your Production Manager and they can coordinate them coming to the event.
PHOTOS
As with all other vendors, it’s important to us that we get images for you that you will find useful in the future. If you’re looking for a particular shot of either your setup or your skill, feel the freedom to communicate that to photographers. They are there to get shots of our vendors' amazing work! This is a great way to create partnerships that may extend outside the event as well. Every conversation is a networking opportunity!
