Marketing: What We Do
Each year, we collaborate with over 75 media partners. These relationships provide us with over $100,000 in annual advertising. Click here to see our reach and how we are connecting with brides and grooms!
We are thrilled to partner with some amazing national blogs for our post-event coverage. Every event in 2021 will be covered by one or more of our blog partners: 100 Layer Cake, Inspired By This, Junebug Weddings, Ruffled, Style Me Pretty, Tacari Weddings, Wedding Chicks, Glittery Bride and Southern Bride.
We also partner with The Knot and Vexpo, who provide event listings, geo-targeted email blasts and social media support.

We have a multifaceted marketing plan based on what has worked best for events in the past. This plan includes both local and national advertising and partnerships, and roll-out dates are strategically set for each event.
We send a press release at twelve weeks and four weeks out.
We schedule specific blog and social media posts for each event.
We promote each event through targeted local advertising on Facebook, Google and Groupon.
We work with local and national partners to send geo-targeted email blasts promoting the events on our behalf.
We advertise and partner with local, regional and national blogs and magazines to run advertisements through the year.
Local liaisons
Local liaisons serve as local assistants to our full-time production managers both leading up to and the day of the event. They are our local presence in each city that we visit. These local liaisons are well-networked within their city and serve as our "feet-on-the-ground" for cast and volunteer recruitment, logistics support, pre-event promotion and more.
Media Partners
We have several national media partners that support The Big Fake Wedding by running advertisements and posting on social media on our behalf. However, we also love to partner with local media to advertise, and we are happy to invite these media members to experience the event firsthand. Our marketing team researches each city to find these folks, but if you have any personal connections with a local blog, newspaper, television station, please feel free to pass that on to our Director of Marketing, Abigail Collins!
