MUST READ!

Upon Joining the Team

You should receive a counter-signature email and an invoice within one business day once your contract is received. Only after we receive your contract and payment will your logo and link be placed on your city-specific event page. At this time, we encourage you to announce that you’ve been hand-picked as a vendor for The Big Fake Wedding! We truly choose vendors with products and personalities we can believe in, so we hope you have a warm, fuzzy feeling about this.

Your production manager will reach out around 8 weeks out from an event to start the production process. If you don’t receive the emails listed in this page, please check in, as the emails may have been lost in a spam folder.

If you have any questions about billing or if you need to update your logo or web address on the event page, contact hello@thebigfakewedding.com. You can reference The Vendor Contract for information on payments and any pertinent legal information.

We also encourage you to read this handbook in preparation for the event. Below is a sample schedule of when you can expect to hear from us, but dates may be slightly different based on when you sign on, travel schedules, etc.

Around 8 Weeks Before The Event

You will receive an email from your Production Manager with the schedule and a few other important reminders along with your final invoice, if applicable. You will also receive the "Collaboration Board" outlining the participating vendors and their contact information. Your Production Manager will start reaching out to hold production calls with each vendor.

Around 6 Weeks Before The Event

You will receive an email outlining our marketing efforts and how you can join in. Additionally, your final balance is due at this time.

Around 4 Weeks Before The Event

You will have a production call with your Production Manager to talk through your specific role and to make sure that you have all of your questions answered. We want to make sure that you feel comfortable about what to expect.

AROUND 2 Weeks Before The Event

You will receive an email with the Vendor Guide proof and information on The Cocktail Hour. You will also receive an updated schedule. The Vendor Guide is both printed (distributed to all guests at event registration) and digital (lives on your city-specific event page) and will include your company name, URL and participating category for the event.

The Night Before

In most cases, The Cocktail Hour will be held the night before the event. You will be able to meet your Production Manager and the other vendors in person before the craziness of the big day.

The Day of The Big Fake Wedding

You will meet one to two other team members who will be assisting the Production Manager. We will be wearing gold name tags, so feel free to grab us if you have any questions.

after the event

You'll receive an email the day after the event with the lead list of opt-in guests. Around two weeks after the event, you'll receive links to view and download the photos as well as a date for when the blog post is scheduled to be published.

Indefinitely after the event

Let's stay in touch via social media, blog posts, etc!
