CAKES AND DESSERTS

Let the inspiration board inspire you! Have fun with it, dream a little, and know that you get complete creative freedom here. That’s the beauty of not having one specific couple to please! Create something unique to your style that really showcases what you’re capable of.

CAKE
There are a couple of ways to provide the cake to the guests. We've found that often the simplest way is to have pre-cut sheet cakes ready to serve from your table. That way, the guests will get to see the actual cake as their being served, they'll see you with it and you'll have the opportunity to get it to them fast - this makes guests very happy. This also gives you the ability to provide a variety of flavors if you'd like. The actual cake only needs to have one layer that the couple can cut into for pictures. Or you can go full styrofoam and we can fake it, since this is a fake wedding after all!

If you decide not to do sheet cakes, a great alternative is pre-portioned ramekins with small cake samples or cake pops!

DESSERTS
Please communicate with your Production Manager about what all you’re dreaming up and what you plan on bringing! We want to be prepared for what you’ve got - right size table, linen, etc.

PLATES AND FORKS
At most weddings, you wouldn't be responsible for providing plates and forks for your products. However, for a Big Fake Wedding, you will be. For the cake, we recommend that you bring disposable clear acrylic plates and forks so that it's a simple clean up and it's easy to transport. If you want to provide cocktail napkins, that's helpful too. For other desserts, sometimes a napkin is all the guest needs - other times they'll need plates and forks. Use your judgement!

TABLE
Often we'll coordinate with a Vintage Rentals company so they may have a piece in mind that would work well with your products. If you're interested in connecting with them, let your Production Manager know and they’ll get that conversation started.
